The Magic of Family (Guest Post) & Giveaway by Jennifer Probst

Thanks so much to Books are Magic for hosting me today!
Series have become quite popular with readers for a variety of reasons. With each book, we get to re-visit familiar characters or explore particular settings, such as the small town. When I decided to write my series based on the Steele Brothers, I was intrigued with the concept of family.
I started with the setting of Vegas which was a perfect offset to the plot of a 1NightStand matchmaking service. Vegas was uninhibited, flashy, and became part of the continuance that readers can enjoy. But my favorite part was fleshing out three very different men, who protected and loved each other. That sort of bond is unbreakable and as passionate as their encounters with each of the heroines—just in a different way. Focusing on family dynamics and how men relate to each other brings a new level to each of the stories. Readers can also peek on the previous brothers to see how each is doing.
Here’s the blurb for Play Me – the second in the Steele Brother series.

Professional gambler Sloane Keller is tired of dating weak willed men and longs to meet a man who challenges her dominant personality and forces her to submit. As the Queen of Cards, she’s used to making her own rules and craves the excitement of Vegas. But her inner heart cries out for someone who can be her match, both inside the casino and in the bedroom.

As the new dealer in town, Roman Steele is burnt out on women looking for a quick penny and a man to follow. He craves a woman with fire in her soul and a keen intellect who can challenge him. When his brother recruits Madame Eve to help, Rome is amazed at the complicated woman he gets to spend the night with. But when the evening is over, will she be gutsy enough to offer him forever?

  1. I was a soap opera lover from little on, so continuing drama has always attracted me. Series romance plays right into that! It lets me catch up on the characters I already love while discovering new friends.

  4. I just like how you can keep revisiting characters from previous books. Sometimes you aren't ready to let characters go yet, so you get a little bit more. I Read such good things about the Marriage Bargain, I bought it and Loved It! Thanks!
